Gangs To Govt

50 Lies: Theft and Government

Public educators teach a romantic view of benevolent Government, but the history of Government reveals it to be the number one provider of death, even if one excludes all war deaths. Governments did not spring up peaceably in primitive civilizations to help with police, soldiers, roads, and banks. Instead, organized bandits moved in to plunder, collect taxes and suit themselves. For a modern example of how this happens take a close look at the least civilized places in the USA: Urban gang lands. The most violent and least principled men make the rules. While I am not suggesting the current Western Governments are mere gangsters, I am saying the underlying forces of government have only posed as benevolent.

24. A well-intentioned government can safely protect us from bad speech.

  • Watch all those who argue for government control of political speech. It is a natural line of thought, especially by those who love abusing power.
  • The Republican co-sponsor of the Campaign Laws that perverted political speech and spawned the assorted “501” groups was (surprise) the Progressive John McCain, who just happened to be the candidate to lose to the Progressive Barack Obama.

25. Spending on government wages encourages private sector growth.

  • One of the more ludicrous reasons offered by someone reaching for things they did not earn.

26. Raising other people’s taxes is akin to giving personal charity.

  • Could the self-serving nature of this argument by any more clear?
  • Hoping to increase my karma by forcing others to give is a hideous form of selfishness.

27. Legally owned guns make society more dangerous.

  • The areas with the most restrictive gun laws have the most crimes.
  • Gangster Governments have been the most aggressive in removing guns from its “victizens”.

28. People opposing big government are prone to violence.

  • Re-read your history: Governments are prone to violence.

Summary

The facade of honesty projected by government officials disintegrates at the first glance. Our government has only been different only to the degree that it’s citizens have understood things like Checks & Balances, the Bill of Rights, there is no free lunch, and our skeptical traditions. Note that the current trend of instilling hatred for the other party is mainly a technique to induce supporters to overlook vast deceptions.

50 Lies: Racism

I’ve made two claims about  the Progressive leaders: First, they are elite academics with hairball ideas, and second, they have world-class propaganda skills. The history of Socialism and Communism has been ruthlessly clear, leaving the Professors to claim their true genius could make it work this time. Decide for yourself when a truly special ruling intelligentsia has arrived to lead us to utopia… but what about my second claim? Just how good are these guys at propaganda?  Consider this…

The Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act 1965 were supported by more Republicans and opposed by more Democrats. Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican until his assassination in 1968. The KKK was born as a tool of the Democratic Party to fight the GOP and to suppress blacks. Lincoln was elected to curtail slavery and signed the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863.

The propaganda says the GOP enacted a Southern Strategy in the late 1960’s, and embraced racism. The actual strategy was the Democrats  accusing the GOP, accusations buttressed by the Progressive Media. The chief evidence is that the loyalty of Blacks switched to support the Democrats. That switch, however, does not by itself support any theory of WHY the switch occurred.

Note that George Wallace was a perennial Democratic candidate for President and was a committed segregationist until 1983. Only in 1993 did Democratic Senator icon Robert Byrd declare his leadership position in the KKK had been his greatest mistake.

Here are some of the more prominent Progressive lies about Racism:

20. The GOP has a long history of racism.

  • The GOP has had fewer racists prior to 1970 and since then has merely opposed the large increases of taxing and spending.

21. Opposing government intervention and spending equates to hating the recipients of the programs.

  • Pure propaganda. So obvious it seems like it wouldn’t work, which might explain why Conservatives have not bothered to make an effective argument against it.

22. Opposing Affirmative Action is, by definition, racist.

  • The notion the Government is an untrustworthy agent is supported if one reads into the truly racist policies of past presidents including Woodrow Wilson (who re-segregated the Federal employees as he took office in 1913) and FDR (who sent 120,000 Japanese-Americans to internment camps)  is hardly racist or even unreasonable.

23. Minorities, by definition, only include groups historically victimized by Western Whites, and minorities cannot be, by definition, racists.

  • This is said to defuse the nearly omnipresent observation that nearly all overt old-school racism is now committed by non-Whites.
  • Giving minorites a “pass” is required to keep 90% voting for Democrats.

Summary

What really changed? The Democratic Party suddenly supported racial quota’s and an ever-expanding welfare state. The Republicans opposed the associated spending and tax increases. There were racists in all parties, but the GOP never supported Jim Crow laws or segregation to the extent as the Democrats in any election cycle. But, because of the world’s best propaganda machine, just by opposing increased government control, the GOP has been branded as racist.

Fundamental Transformation

50 Lies: Fundamental Transformation

I might love a small grove of trees and still chop it down to build a new home… but I would not do this because of my love for the grove. Progressives who claim they love the USA, as they attempt to virtually shred the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights, are expressing a lumberjack’s love for the forest.

Most of the Progressive Elites were the best students who joined the movement. Advancement in that group requires a top intellect, as demonstrated by the ability to communicate and champion the Progressive’s Narrative. They are “the best of the best” in creating propaganda. Even for them, claiming that patriotism lies behind their drive to fundamentally transform the USA is astonishing. Some say the BIG LIE is easier to promote than smaller lies. Below are some lies related to the Progressive’s desire to change the USA:

14. It makes sense to want to fundamentally transform something you love.

  • Let’s review a short list other examples of loved things that were deliberately fundamentally changed: Page not found!

15. Laws and Government can change human nature.

  • Assorted Progressive laws only make sense if we assume people will be “fundamentally transformed” by the law. For instance, there is more crimes committed using guns in the US where gun ownership is heavily restricted. As much as we loathe criminals using guns, unmutable is the fact that criminals will use guns – especially when they know they have the only gun in the vicinity.

16. Compromise is usually good.

  • Those wishing steal are often open to stealing a lesser amount, or “half now and half later.” This is good for the thief, but not for the victim.

17. Good intentions are more important than actual results.

  • Those promoting “change” prefer that no one pay attention to the damage done by those changes.

18. The executive powers of government can be separated from the political arena.

  • Progressives want us to think that assorted Executive Orders are not related to their “war on property”

19. Education fosters character development.

  • Certain educational paths foster good character, but history shows that a program of top prep schools followed by Ivy League University training is not helpful in this regard. The alumni of those institutions would have us believe otherwise, but too many students were instead trained to ignore any and all moral implications: standard practice for the entire legal profession.

Summary

We all want to improve the things we love, but wanting to fundamentally change something runs opposed to love. Consider how the Progressives use this naked propaganda to change the meaning of words. The words change and forward have been core tools of Communism and Socialism since Karl Marx became  a popular theme in our Western Universities.

Natural Law

50 Lies: Anarchy

Does the far right really tend towards anarchy?

Religion induces nervousness in many, but relax, it won’t jump off the pages of history and chide you. The Church used to be about more than sin and salvation. It was more about community & charity: building barns, helping the sick and elderly, etc. Significantly, it also used to provide the court system. In old Europe the kings had no interest in helping people settle disputes, so the church would provide an objective opinion. For more than 1,000 years the church developed Common Law with precedents, logic, and fairness. It was not based on who was the best Christian or the most wealthy. The ideal was Blind Justice, our familiar Lady Justice who holds the scales. They embraced and evolved the quaint notion that elites and royalty have no more rights than do the common man in the “eyes” of the law.

The church’s justice was very different from “things the king wants” including taxes and compulsive military drafts. Having the royals take freely from the peasants, that is called Positive Law or Political Law. A bully taking what he wants is as old as man. Taxation without representation… forced military service… the quartering of soldiers in citizen’s homes… these can be the laws citizens resent most. The laws in the church system covered things such as not stealing or trespassing, these are king my stuff or the popular side of law, natural law or scientific law. Today we are not taught there are these two types, but the Common Law was the basis of Jefferson’s Certain Unalienable Rights.

Not many wonder why Progressives are so strongly opposed to religion. And yet, the dislike appears to run deeper than the PROGRESS gang tussling with the Old Guard. Consider the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were based on the church’s legal system, sometimes called common, scientific, or natural law. These laws ware about restricting power and protecting rights… negative liberties… things that get in the way of the Progressives.

Below are lies related to anarchy:

10. Very Conservative people favor anarchy.

  • Conservatives love Natural Law while distrusting and opposing many instances of Positive Law aka Political Law.

11. Religious Conservatives want to use Government Power to proselytize their faith.

  • There is a difference between supporting generic religion institutions and wanting to use the government to instill any favorite brand of Christianity. The Founders embraced generic religion but made sure there could be no national religion, and modern day Conservatives agree.
  • Progressives use the power of Government to advance their agenda, which includes marginalizing Religion.
  • The word Higher in Higher Power referred to the elevation of the citizen’s rights above the King’s whims. For instance, the phrase A Man’s Home is His Castle says even the King may not order a citizen to be host for the King’s soldiers.

12. The Constitution supports a Separation of Church and State.

  • Such language does not exist in the 4,608 words of the Constitution. The concept was used successfully for the first time in 1947 by a Progressive Supreme Court, using just a letter written by Thomas Jefferson from 1802.

13. The Supreme Court has used its final authority to protect the Constitution.

  • The Court has reversed itself repeatedly in our history, and it is just another powerful political tool used by our two party system.

Summary

The Progressives century-old feud with religion started with the Common Law developed by the church over centuries because it protected the rights of the common man. This was the origin of Certain Unalienable Rights… Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness and it is the notion of unalienable that offends the Elitists who object to limitations on the powers they feel they deserve. Finally, note that Common Law has been largely dropped from the curriculum, in spite of its on-going significance. Progressives control the assorted curricula of the Western world.

Propaganda

50 Lies: The Core

Next we review their core lies. These are also used as the foundation for their other deceptions:

6. The media is, or was, objective.

  • Throughout history, newspaper and radio organizations have been loyal to specific political agendas. There used to be a robust competition between Western and Progressive political brands, but the Western voices faded after World War Two until the Internet sparked a resurgence. The Progressives still pose as neutral, and Fox News claims Fair And Balanced. These poses are understandable in a competitive market, but not accurate.
  • In truth OBJECTIVE is just how they hold everyone accountable to the Progressive movement. No matter how well someone might have served the mission in the past, any new deviation will be punished as severely whether for an old friend or for any other problematic person.

7. Remote elites can make better decisions than average local people.

  • The birth of Progressive-ism: Those who attend ultra-exclusive Universities came to have enormous confidence and pride in their superiority.
  • However, life is so enormously complicated that committees of geniuses cannot make better decisions than do millions of average people who know more about their personal situations.
  • History shows intelligence sometimes leads to terrible errors, including Communism, Fascism, Wars and Depressions.
  • Being great at academics is like being a grand master chess champion; it is impressive, but unconnected to other skills such running corporations or cities. Outside of the academic world, the term “academic” is not a compliment.

8. Corporations are more corrupt than government.

  • The Progressive elites believe they won’t be corrupted. This is how pride works.
  • The Government is a monopoly that legally uses force, such as police & prisons. Power invites corruption!
  • While corporations compete for profits, governments seek to retain and expand power.

Note: This is why corrupting GREED is presented by Progressives as posing a bigger threat than is corrupting POWER. I will address the lies surrounding greed and power later.

9. All values are equal; there is no Objective Truth

  • Some Progressives wanted to “clear the slate” of most old-country values so they could more easily replace them with Progressive values. The irony of trying to prove that nothing can be proved was apparently lost on these intellectuals.
  • All cultures remembered by history prize a few certain values, such as honesty, bravery, and loyalty. Those who argue against Objective Truths pick different examples to show we have relative values, but just because SOME values are relative does not mean ALL values are!
  • Scientist Stephen Hawking is a darling of the Progressives. He has said there is no reality at all.

Summary

Progressives crafted these Narrative deceptions to help them trick people into granting them the enormous power they feel they deserve, having been top graduates from top universities.

50 Lies: The Consensus Device

manufactured consensus

The first set of lies concern how Progressives define a consensus, and what the New York Times means when they say All The News That’s Fit To Print. They exclude those who’ve not attended their list of top schools and those who’ve not demonstrated support for the Progressive agenda. For example, I have no opinion on Global Warming; maybe man’s CO2 is a huge problem. Still, allow me to review Al Gore’s Consensus Of Scientists argument. He only includes scientists who have been “properly” vetted. These qualified scientist work for universities who depend on government grants. These scientists would have their university careers ruined if they expressed doubts on Global Warming. I will list examples in the appendix. This does not disprove Global Warming, but it does expose Al’s “consensus” as having been manufactured.

Progressives apply this filtering logic in other places. A consensus of economists believe we have to spend money to save money; but that consensus filtered out those who disagreed. A consensus of journalists claims they have no bias against Republicans because if any Republican supports their Progressive agenda, then they will support that Republican. See? No bias! Similarly, Democrats who step out of line with the Progressive Narrative will be immediately and harshly disciplined. Democrats who stray will be treated just like Republicans; no bias. This does not happen too often (as you might expect) but you can Google why Lawrence Summers resigned as President of Harvard in 2006. Related, the only journalists “fit” to have an opinion work for the NYT, CNN, and the assorted Main Stream Media cartels where members have been screened and are monitored for loyalty. Consider the way Juan Williams was fired by PBS. Progressives rigorously enforce loyalty, and their explicit and implicit claims of consensus must be understood: this is a self-defined group that is agreeing with itself.

Lies related to The Consensus Device:

1. A consensus in the university/media circles is a consensus for the nation.

  • This is said so frequently and so confidently it almost feels like the truth.

2. Recipients of government funding are not influenced by the money.

  • Progressives are so noble they are not affected by fame or fortune.
  • Progressives keep discipline in their ranks by promoting or excluding people according to how well they comply with the agenda.

3. A consensus of government-funded scientists is the equivalent of scientific proof.

  • Einstein had to prove E=MC2 using the classic hypothesis/experiment method. Consensus was how science “proved” the earth was flat.

4. The “transparency” concept is only judged by MSM, such as the NYT, NBC, etc.

  • Only the Ivy League, Washington, New York, and Hollywood have valid opinions.
  • The Progressives are very smart & they will think for us. For example, lobbyists are okay, but only for Democratic administrations.

5. Diversity” means many races and genders all advocating the Progressive agenda.

  • A close look at PC Diversity reveals it does not support minorities, but rather a political agenda.

Summary

Do not be fooled when experts suggest everyone agrees, because this is usually pure manipulation. I covered this set first so that what follows can be free of the most primary of their Jedi Mind Tricks: A Consensus of Elites is not a consensus at all!

50 Lies Believed By Others

Quote: It is easier to fool someone than to convince them they have been fooled.

Obvious, right? Political Parties use propaganda. Here is an example where the paint’s not yet dry. The word RACIST is being redefined. In the top University circles only white Westerners can be racists, by their new definition. An oppressed minority can, for example, hate & hurt anyone of the dominant race for the express reason that they hate that race, and this is not racism according to the new definition. I will explain why they do this later. Another example: suddenly tolerance means not tolerating opposing views. Let that sink in.

There have been many changes. I’ve been reading and I’ve been shocked. Things we learned early feel like universal truths. First let me review the framework of who has been changing things, and why.

There have been two main groups in the West, each with a competing value system. They have only a rough correlation to political parties or the labels Liberal and Conservative. Obviously, being clear will be a challenge since certain words have new meanings.

  • The Progressives want “progress” meaning change… to change away from core Western values.
  • What some Conservatives want is to preserve and restore those values.

The Main Stream Media is Progressive. When they claim they are unbiased, they mean they objectively compare every politician, regardless of party, to their set of Progressive values. When a Republican such as Teddy Roosevelt or John McCain holds some Progressive values, then the MSM reviews how they fit their agenda and will embrace them accordingly. They consider some of the Western values to be illegitimate & they have no desire to “objectively” consider them at all. The Conservatives are puzzled by the Progressive value system & are not amused at these claims of objectivity. Conservatives have been terrible communicators and have not been able to explain this.

I will be using the label Conservative, but keep in mind that some people, such as John McCain, have been erroneously called Conservative when they also call themselves Progressive. This is a deliberate distortion and it is meant to be confusing. Allow me to present the differences between these competitors. At a high level:

Conservative: Historically governments abuse citizens and use their power to gain more power. Citizens acting freely make better decisions than elite central planners.

Progressive: Very intelligent and well-educated elites can better direct Society, especially with minimal Constitutional restraints and with a great deal of power and flexibility.

This would be a fair debate… if… if only people were educated on the details without propaganda. The deceptions run deep.

When did Political Correctness begin? Many think in the 90s, others in the 60s. Its much older than that. It was born in the Universities, and the origins are well documented but not widely known. The purpose is to change the way we think: propaganda. PC is not about being nice. The early changes now feel very natural, and I will have a devil of a time convincing you that you were sold a bunch of malarkey. In fact, even the way we were taught to think about all this… is flawed.

Do you even want to know? You are no doubt comfortable with your current beliefs. Re-evaluating is hard work. Awkward. Do you want the Red pill, or the Blue pill? Do you want to see how far down this rabbit hole goes? You should either close this now, or continue our journey with the Ghost of Christmas Past….
